Miss M, aged 6.75, is officially in first grade, but still not quite settled enough to start a scheduled school routine. So, for this year, I'm creating a loose list of what she'll be doing, more like AO Year 0, rather than a daily schedule.
Devotional: She'll join us for family time, which includes a Bible reading, a hymn, and she'll have her own Bible verses to memorize.
Reading Instruction: She's halfway through Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons. After she finishes that, she'll read books like Little Bear by Else Minarik, Henry and Mudge by Cynthia Rylant, Frog and Toad by Arnold Lobel, and Harriette Taylor Treadwell's readers.
Language Arts: word writing, as she desires
Math: Right Start Level A.
Science:
Thornton Burgess Adventures of books (Sammy Jay, Prickly Porky, Old Man Coyote, Mr. Mocker, Paddy the Beaver, Chatterer the Red Squirrel, Peter Cottontail)
Seed Babies by Margaret Warner Morley (ages 6-9)
Parables: Books by Clara Dillingham Pierson: Among the Forest People, Among the Farmyard People, Among the Meadow People, Among the Pond People, Among the Night People
Geography: Books by Lucy Fitch Perkins: The Dutch Twins, The Belgian Twins, The French Twins, etc., with a globe.
Other Books (readalouds): Repeats of things we've read before, like:
Various picture books, mostly from A's Year 0 page
Winnie the Pooh by A. A. Milne
Books by Beatrix Potter
Grimm's Fairy Tales
Little Pear series by Eleanor Frances Lattimore
The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams
Peter Pan by James M. Barrie
Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi
Little Pilgrim's Progress by Helen L. Taylor
Five Little Peppers and How They Grew by Sidney Taylor

This year I hope to get to
