Has anyone had this problem? I've tried a couple different pictures and they have both gone sideways.
I've had that happen a couple of times, where an image insisted on displaying sideways (though not for this forum's avatar). I had to crop the image to get it to understand which way was up, or re-set it, or something. Maybe it wants to be more square.
