Napoleon's Buttons has been removed from the Year 8 booklist and the schedule.  It was one of two options, so Marvels of the Molecule replaces it.
Just curious ,why was it removed? Thanks, friederike
That was one of our favorite's this year. I'm curious as well as to why it's been removed.

If I may say, I am very sorry it was removed from the book list. There is so much to learn from it. I hope it could be suggested as optional with the notations necessaries for parents awareness.

Gabriela.

I am glad that it was on our list.  It was one of my boys favorite books.
Napoleon's Buttons is back on the list. We went through it more closely, scheduled it a bit better, and added footnotes to better provide heads up where that was needed.

It's being suggested as an either/or option with Marvels of the Molecule in Year 8, 8 Lite, and the combo 8/9 year (the one that does years 7-8-9 in Two years).

I posted a bookmark for it in the FB group, but I don't really know how to post it here.
For those who are using this book, I came up with a plan to edit out the objectionable material in the witches chapter. (Some might think this was overkill ...) I am removing page 235-6 with a razor blade, retyping the part of it that I do want my student to read and just tucking my typed page in there. I didn't want to just skip the chapter because it's very interesting, but the stuff on those pages is just too much/too gross. I thought this was a good solution.
I taped (on all sides) a post-it over the offensive stuff. [:P cheesy, cheesy!]
