Hmmm. When I was using the Default, I didn't have a Like button, but even so, you're right that the AO template is MUCH nicer.
I added the links that the Default template had, but on the right hand side of the logo area under the set of links that was already there.

I just switched everyone over to the AO Board Style. Please let me know if you experience any problems with this change.
