How do I change settings of thread subscriptions? - JoyH - 06-12-2015

I tried to do a search, but can't find an answer.  When I went to look at my "thread subscriptions" to see a certain thread, I found that EVERY thread I've written on is in that list.  Is there a way to only have the threads that I click on the subscribe icon to show up?

Thank you.

........oooohhh, I just saw a thing that I never noticed before a the bottom of this box that says "thread subscription" and looks like it is automatically set to subscribe to them.  Is there a way to change this default without doing it for every post?  am I stuck with all those posts in my thread subscription unless I uncheck each one (which sounds like a horrible use of time)?

Go to your User CP. In the column on the left, under "Your Profile" choose "Edit Options."

At the bottom of the "Messaging and Notification" section, you will see a drop down box to change your "Default Thread Subscription Mode."

As for the threads to which you have already subscribed, you will have to delete the subscriptions by hand. However, you have the option to do so in mass. On your User CP under "Miscellaneous" choose "Subscribed Threads." You can "select all" the threads on the screen with the little box up in the right corner of the light blue header (next to the words "Last Post" and just above the titles of the threads). Then just unselect the ones you want to keep before you delete the subscriptions.
