Exam Key Errors? - mommabot - 04-21-2020
In the year 7, term 1 exam, one of the questions is "Choose 'is' or 'are.' The lake and its lovely water lilies __ an image of loveliness." The key says the answer is "is." I believe that is incorrect. I'm looking at #1 here: https://owl.purdue.edu/owl/general_writing/grammar/subject_verb_agreement.html
Also, in the year 6, term 2 exam key I believe there are some grammar solution errors in 1a ("golden" is an adjective) and 1b ("with" is a preposition). Check out the comments on this post. https://www.facebook.com/groups/18541076090/permalink/10155508627541091/
I could be wrong! Please do let me know if I am wrong. I don't want to be teaching my kids the wrong thing, and I know this is not my forte. =)
