Reply to comment notification? - KayPelham - 08-01-2012

I know that you can subscribe to a Forum and subscribe to a Thread, but is there a way to be notified if someone has replied to a particular comment on a thread? Someone could be replying to me, yet not have clicked reply to my comment, but simply added their comment to the bottom of the thread. With that, I only have the option to scroll through all comments and see if any are in reference to my particular comment. But you can click reply directly to a comment, which then will provide the quote of your comment, and I'm wondering if there is a notification available to let me know that someone has done that, so I can know in this case that someone is replying to my particular comment.

Did I use enough words there?

No, unfortunately there's nothing like that, as far as I know.

And I'm not talking about anyone responding to my comment that started a thread, such as this one. I'm talking about comments I make within a thread as part of an ongoing discussion.

the other important thing to note is that when you subscribe to a thread and receive an email notification, you will not receive any further notifications about that thread until you visit the boards. And then if you haven't seen teh green arrow tip that Phyllis put up, find it fast because it is one of the best forum tips ever. : )
