confused about thread settings

I was exploring the User CP and trying to set everything up to my liking, but somehow I messed it up --- and going back to "default" settings didn't seem to help. I am only seeing one post at a time, so to read a thread I have to click each individual post one at a time, which takes forever on my lousy internet connection. Which settings do I have to adjust to get the forum to show me a whole thread at once?

Which settings do I have to adjust to get the forum to show me a whole thread at once?

I'm not one of those who really know about this, but I looked at my User CP and when I clicked on the gear beside Edit Options, I got the option to set how many threads and messages I saw.

I did have to hunt even though I had recently edited it myself. I hope this is what you need to change your settings.
