Tech Support (Parent and Student Access)/confused about membership in private groups
11-21-2014, 12:18 PM
I recently submitted to join several of theprivate groups ,but dont know how this works, as I havent heard anything back.. Tonight I went to my user CP and when I looked at the private groups, it listed the very ones I had wanted to join , as that I am a member. does this mean its still pending? Am I already a member? If the latter, how do I then post or read any posts on them?..
TIA

If you were approved, just go to the forum main page and they should be there. You could try a search, too, for dyslexia, for example, and see if LD threads show up for you. I don't moderate/approve those areas so can't tell you more than that, but someone will come along

Tech Support (Parent and Student Access)/RE: confused about membership in private groups

(This post was last modified: 11-21-2014, 01:53 PM by Peacefully Buzzing.)
Some of the private groups are often quiet and don't have posts often.
If you go to the main forum page scrolling down you'll see different headings: Welcome Center, AO Curriculum Help, CM Study Hall, then Private Groups, and AmbleRamble.
Look under Private Groups and you'll see the groups that you have been approved for. Click on one and it will take you into that group where you can see the various threads that have been posted there.
Those that you see listed are the groups that you are a member of. If there are questions regarding membership someone would have sent you a message for clarification. You wouldn't just be left hanging as "pending".
Hope that clears it up for you.
