Speechless.
Just many prayers. Amie
(Homeschooled) Mother of two sons: 17yo and 15yo.
I have been praying with my children each morning for Wendi during this time and I shared the news with them this morning. I shared some things I have learned from Wendi through meeting her in Texas and hearing her talk there and from reading her thoughtful and deep comments over the years on the forum and on facebook. I shared with my children, years ago, I was on facebook trying to learn about AO and often there would be fights online and sometimes I joined in on a certain side and Wendi would comment and most of the time everyone would listen and say, "Wow, that is a much better way to frame this discussion." or "Wow I did not know that, thank you." She was such a blessing to those of us trying to find our way in homeschooling and helping to shape the discussion and get to what really mattered and give you treasured jewels in the midst of correction. My children saw my tears and one of my children said "Let's sing for Wendi." and started singing this song we all knew it and joined in for Wendi:
Sing the wondrous love of Jesus, Sing His mercy and His grace. In the mansions bright and blessèd He'll prepare for us a place. When we all get to Heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We'll sing and shout the victory! While we walk the pilgrim pathway, Clouds will overspread the sky; But when traveling days are over, Not a shadow, not a sigh. When we all get to Heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We'll sing and shout the victory! Let us then be true and faithful, Trusting, serving every day; Just one glimpse of Him in glory Will the toils of life repay. When we all get to Heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We'll sing and shout the victory! Onward to the prize before us! Soon His beauty we'll behold; Soon the pearly gates will open; We shall tread the streets of gold. When we all get to Heaven, What a day of rejoicing that will be! When we all see Jesus, We'll sing and shout the victory! I am so sad right now. I never knew Wendi personally but I knew her through her words here on AO and her blog. And she was such a blessing and encouragement to me. I can only imagine the void that her family and friends are experiencing. Praying for everyone Wendi’s life touched. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious to you. May the Lord turn His face toward you and give you peace.
My heart is filled with saddness at this news. Wendi invested in me in so many ways via the commonroom blog and her wendi wanders. But we grieve with hope. I'll be praying for her family.
Wendi has impacted me in such profound ways for nearly two decades. What a gift she has been to me. I was happy to meet her IRL at the Camp Meeting a few years ago.
I mourn and know her family mourns. I am also rejoicing that she is with Jesus and Angel and is spared the mourning of Angel. Wife to the wonder-hubby

I was so sad to hear of her passing this morning. She will be missed until we meet again in glory.

I was so sad to hear this. I was blessed by Wendi especially at Camp Meeting 2019. It's been a teary day. Praying for her family and, I know we can't comprehend heaven much at all from here, but if anything there beyond being in Jesus' presence matters, I am delighted to think of her being able to hear Angel's words to her.
