You're added to Mothers of Large Families!  Hot Topics is a bit different.  No one has to be added there, but New Members can't see it, and I think Junior Members can see it but can't post.  (I may be remembering incorrectly.)

How do I see my private groups on Tapatalk? I believe I joined 42moms and large family and some others but can’t find them.

See the three lines, the second icon from the left? Press that, then scroll down to Private Groups.

My son would like to join the group for students but when I click on group memberships I don't see AO Students listed.

There's a different process for teens:

That's because teens have to have a parent's permission and also have a parent active on the forum.
