how to delete a post?

I tried to edit a post and ended up with a duplicate post. 

I have edited posts before, but there was no "edit" button. (I wanted to change something right after it was posted. It had not been posted more than a minute.)

In searching for a way to edit, I ended up at the original post, and changed what I wanted to change, and then posted. So now there is a duplicate post, with only a few words different. But still no edit button.

Hi! You can't delete a post but I'll give a nudge to the mods in that area to see if they can do something about the duplicate post.

It was my fault that you couldn't edit your post. I updated permissions in the private areas recently, and I missed the box that would have let you edit posts in the LD/Special Needs area. It should be set now! I've been trying to find all the little errors like that one, but there's no easy way to check them so I may have still missed some. Thanks for posting about it! That let me know to go and check.
