I can't wait! And on behalf of the exuberant females who pounced on me first thing this morning to ask me if we could go to Gatlinburg next year... #remembertheteens

So excited! I came to AO shortly after the last gathering and was so sad to have missed out!

I would love if there was a way for the teens to be able to meet! But that would mean a road trip rather than a flight, most likely, eek!

Conference newbie here... Do adults usually go alone? Or do some bring their whole families? I'm sure little kids wouldn't want to go to the conference of course, but do some people make it a family trip and meet other kids or just hang out at a hotel with dad?

There is no usually. There have been very few of these, and every one has been different. Your family trip sounds lovely!

I considered this, due to the proximity to Great Smoky Mountains National Park and my teenager definitely wants to go if she has AO forum friends going. But it would be much simpler if she and I just flew there.

Oooh, I hadn’t even thought of this! Mine were tiny in 2019. But meeting up with your girls, not to mention others, would be so fun!

The AO Camp Meeting was such a special time of renewal for me. Oh, man. . . I'm actually getting teary eyed thinking of Wendi now.
Yes, this! I was in my first year of AO. Singing “The Happy Wanderer” together changed me. The joy we’ve experienced through folk songs since then is immeasurable. .

At the last conference I as able to attend, I brought my new baby along and left the older ones home. But this time, my two oldest will be graduated and that same baby will be 10 years old! I was so weary and discouraged and lost during that season, and Lynn Bruce's talk gave me a lifeline to hold onto through the journey ahead of me: I don't think I'd still be here, reaping the rewards of an AO education alongside my children, if it hadn't been for her talk that weekend.
