Ok...I can access AO & forum from my Firefox 115.4 or Safari 17.5 browsers on my MacBook Air 2015 running Monterey 12.7.5 - (infact, I'm on this forum posting now from this machine) perhaps check all browser settings for any extensions/plugins that might be affecting it. Also maybe check any firewall, and router settings, and ISP info?
If you can install any other browser to test, maybe that would be good to check also.

If it won't take any Apple OS updates, you can try installing Linux. Linux Mint seems to work well, from the very short googling I just did. There are websites and YouTube videos that walk you through installation.

I am using a 2012 MacAir running on Mojave right now, with brave browser and I'm having no problems. Have you tried clearing your browsing history/cache? That's all I can come up with. Also, sorry! This is actually Jessie. Didn't realize my son was logged in here!
