You can completely customize the forum templates and themes. I honestly don't remember where I put in the logo, but it was pretty simple. I think you'll see it once you start working on your own forum.
The header announcements are done like this. Phyllis in Ukraine, with Jaan (AO grad), Raia (AO grad), Asya (age 17), Bogdan (age 14)
