Changes to Mythology in Years Four to Six

I'm in week 20, year 4, and just saw this change to Asgard. I'm at a chapter break now, should I switch to the new book of the same week, should I start that book over, should I finish the year and then start Asgard with the new schedule next year?

I'd finish Year 4 as previously scheduled, and then try Asgard for Year 5 if you haven't already read Norse mythology.

We haven't. Would we start from the beginning of Asgard then, or start in the yr5 place?

We have scheduled Heroes of Asgard to be read over three terms (one year), and the chosen parts of Age of Fable to be read in four terms. For most students who haven't already started it, that will be Year Five and the first term of Year Six. The other two terms of Year Six are left open for your choice of Homer retellings (or originals, as some families prefer).

Have you looked at the new edited versions and study guides? https://amblesideonline.org/asgard-to-athens The introductory material there will probably answer most of your questions--if not, feel free to ask here!

Ok, so would I replace age of Fables next year with Asgard? beings we already read are doing what that link has listed for Year 5?

Yes, that's what I was suggesting, flipping the new Year Four and Year Five readings.

This was great timing for us! My son is part way through Year 5 and next week he will finish the last reading previously scheduled before the new year 6 Age of Fable readings. That was confusing... and I don't know how to reword it. Regardless, I think it's a great idea to stop Age of Fable for the rest of year 5 and add in some norse myths instead.

My question is: Is there an audiobook of Heroes of Asgard, and if not, is there another audiobook we could substitute? I'm not worried about finishing it. We will have 16-18 weeks to have some exposure to Norse Myths.

That's one question I have no idea about. Maybe somebody else knows.

Have you looked at our edited text? It's really not hard reading.

The text is edited from the original Heroes of Asgard text?

Yes, it is edited a bit, especially the ends of chapters which go into detail about possible interpretations etc.
