Yes, if you are auto-deleting cookies every 30 minutes, then you are logging yourself out. You need the login cookie for the site to know you are logged in.

Well I stopped clearing cookies & it's happening again. If I take more than a few minutes to type a reply get the must be logged in to reply message. I don't know why but I have found I can open a new window, log in there, and go back to the first window with the long reply and then it will post. Must be gremlins with timers!
It's a mild annoyance & not the end of the world.
