Does anyone know why this is happening? I don’t know how to describe this over at the tech thread [I want to hide my head under a bag!]

Tell me more.
Are you posting in a browser or in Tapatalk?
Does the same quote appear every time you make a new post?
Does this happen in other threads?
When did this start happening?

Thanks for moving this here, Kathy.
It only happens on that one thread. No where else in the forum.
I am using safari on my phone.
I haven’t tried it on my laptop. Will do that in a min.
I haven’t accessed that thread in a long time.
I don’t remember choosing Tammy’s post for a quote. Is that a post from that thread? I haven’t checked.

Ok.  It's something with my phone.
The quote does not appear at all when I use Chrome on my laptop.
It does not do it with Safari on our iPad either.
It is still happening with my phone though.

the simple solution is don't access that thread with my phone. since it's not a wider problem, I don't need a solution if it requires much time to figure it out.

You probably clicked the Quote button there. You have to find and "unclick" it.

Do you mean find the particular post for which I clicked “quote” ?

I found Tammy’s post in the thread, and yes, it is selected for a quote.
And every time I deselect it, and navigate away and then back, there it is, selected again. I’ve even turned the phone off and on again.  [Huh??]

Any other ideas?
Though I am willing to chalk this up as a lost thread which I can’t contribute to any longer and move on with my life.  [Cool, man. Grooovay. Like, peace out and all that jazz...]

That's weird. It's only happening for you, only on that one thread?

I just clicked and unclicked Quote on several posts here. No problem for me.

I know. It is weird. I can select and deselect other posts in the same thread and they don’t get stuck. It’s just that one.post. And only on my phone.
