Location: Hyde Park is walking distance from the convention center. Grab lunch on the go and come hang out with your Ambleside sisters (and maybe a few brothers).

My IP address has been locked out of Project Gutenberg for too many downloads..supposedly, the block will expire after awhile. Anyone else?  How long did the block last?

FYI, It looks like the security certificate has expired.  Some of the ladies on the FB page had mentioned having trouble accessing the Forum yesterday, and I'm guessing this was the problem.

Could someone remove the HEO subforums for me?  It is clogging up my feed, and my son is no longer on them.

I wanted to make a video to show how to recover a lost password. I kind of did, but it has no sound or text, so I doubt that it will be helpful. But for those who like visuals, here it is.


In words, though:
If you forget your forum password, please don't panic! I know it can seem like the end of the world to be stuck without the forum, but we will get you back in, probably even today. If not today, then tomorrow for sure.

So, you've forgotten your password. At the place to log in, click the option that you've lost your password, and input your email address. When I test this, I get an email right away, but some people have reported delays of up to 10 minutes, so you can go wash some dishes or something.

Then check your email. Click the link in the email. [Take another break from the computer, if necessary.]

Check email again. Copy the randomly generated password. Paste it in on the forum. You should be back in.

I was wondering if you all can put a sticky at the top of "The Patio" section, that would have all of the initial posts, starting with #1. That way I could direct new ladies there to get started. 

AND, maybe add a link to the FAQ above that as well.

I need to update the Tapatalk plugin, and I am going to try to do that in the next hour or so. Please be patient, if there are any blips.

Wasn't there a private group for large families? I though there was but I can't find it now. If there is one, how can I get into it?

I wasn't sure how to contact the advisory, so I hope here is okay.

In the AO 0 book list, there seems to be a small mistake.  The Ox-Cart Man is listed as being by Barbara Cooney.  I believe Cooney is the illustrator and Donald Hall the author.

I don't use Tapatalk and don't really understand it well. Someone is asking:

When I try to search only in the LD/SN sub-forum I get results forum wide. However, I tried limiting results to only a normal/public sub-forum and that worked. Help? I'm using Chrome on a Linux computer, if that helps.

What is the best way to do this? I remember reading to upload it to a particular site and then post the link, but I can't remember the details. I tried searching, but I must not be using the right words. Thanks!

I was going to wait until I had more info, but it turns out setting up MySQL is complicated.

I haven't ever seen a working YouTube embed on the forum, while Vimeo appears to work beautifully. As far as I can tell, this is only because the YouTube iframes are being requested as HTTP, which any modern browser (namely, Chrome (I didn't actually test Firefox)) blocks, leaving a gaping hole in the webpage.
According to the MyBB docs, it appears that providing an HTTPS YouTube URL should result in a secure widget. I think it somehow... doesn't.
I have no idea why they aren't working or if it's fixable, but that's what I can see from here. I haven't double checked Vimeo embeds, and I've never seen any others attempted. Hope that helps!

This weird thing keeps happening to me. When I type "amblesideonline.org" into my browser address window, it doesn't load properly the first time. For some reason, an extra "/" with five randomized capital letters get added onto the URL, and a message appears saying "Site not found" showing the wrong HTML address (with the added part).  If I re-type "amblesideonline.org" into the address window, it pops up the site like usual, but I always have to enter it in a second time! This just started maybe a week or two ago? I use Google, and I haven't tried it on a different browser, but I was wondering if I'm the only one this is happening to?

I am trying to update my sig to say this:

but it keeps telling me that I have exceeded the 300 limit by 112.  Can anyone tell me how to fix this?  I counted it and without spaces it is not even close to 300 characters.  Also, HTML is disabled.  Do I need to enable it and if so, how do I do that?  When I try to preview it a whole bunch of HTML quickly appears and then leaves.

I know we have a thread on this somewhere, but I couldn't find it.

I'm checking to see if any change has been made on the search minimums.

For example, I can't search for "Rob Roy." I think you have to use at least four or more characters in a search.

I though I was clever by using "Rob Roy Scott," but then I noticed the search ignore the "Rob Roy," and only searched for "Scott."

I'm unable to edit the Y2 chart even after downloading. Is there a reason? Also, If I download it as a DOC it's not in a chart form. Also wondering what happened to the basic vs detailed option?
