How do I reply to someone's post so that the gray area with the persons quote appears. When I have been replying I delete most of what they write, but keep the few bits that I am referencing, but it doesn't do the nice gray area showing who I am quoting for me the way I see others having on their replies? Am I making sense?

I have downloaded the app but can't seem to find this forum. How is it listed on the app?

Can you tell me how to print a document that is posted in Google Drive? I am trying to print the Adventures with a Microscope guide and it will only print the cover sheet. I can view all 20 pages on my computer and/or iPad, but can't seem to get it to print. The file says...Whoops, were having trouble loading additional pages. Can you help?

Is anyone else having this problem? I click the box and in the past have been notified.  I haven't changed my email so I'm not sure what is happening?

I just made changes to the Years 6 and 7 chart schedules.  For Year 6, the poet was changed to Langston Hughes for Term 3.  For Year 7, Grammar of Poetry was added to the weekly work list for each term.

The booklist for Year 6 has long had a notation that Term 3 still needs a decision on a poet. That time has come!

We've selected Langston Hughes as the poet for Year 6 Term 3.

I just wanted to post a quick warning about a broken link in the Y1 lesson plans. Under the 36-week detailed plans, for week 16, Fifty Famous Stories Retold "Inchcape Rock," it is suggested you take a look at Peter Graham's painting on the same subject. I clicked on this link this morning, and my computer immediately started beeping loudly with a warning message saying that it had encountered an error and not to close my web browser because it would result in data loss. It then told me to call Microsoft support, and gave me the number. I (stupidly) called the number, and soon realized it was a scam . . . the guy asked for remote access to my laptop, told me my laptop had all sorts of malware and adware installed on it, told me to take it to Office Max for a $500-$600 clean-up of my computer, and then asked for my zip code to see if I'd qualify for a "discount" where they'd do it for me instead for only $300. That's when I hung up on him, because I realized I'd fallen for a scam. I have spent the entire morning on the phone with our bank, credit cards, etc., changing passwords, changing account numbers, etc., because this is the computer I use for all of our online banking and shopping, and I'm pretty sure he stole some of our info while he was on my laptop. I feel so stupid!!! Anyway, all this to say DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!! If you click on that link, DON'T call the number! Just close your browser. Nothing will happen to your computer.  If you did happen to fall prey to it, and called the number and did give them access to your computer, follow my computer-guru brother-in-law's advice, and reset your computer (reinstall windows, wipe your computer completely clean like you are going to sell it). It's the only way to guarantee that the scammer does not have back-door access to your computer. And please, whoever maintains the website, please take that link down ASAP. Thank you!

I've tried several times to post in the buy/sell thread and it says I don't have access???

My husband & I visited with our son's Neurobehavior Doctor today and received the results of his testing. How can I get access or be invited to the gifted & special needs groups?

Can someone help me find my thread from last fall about my two sons not getting along (before the DYT thread)? I can't remember what forum it was in, and I updated Tapatalk ... sigh. So now I can barely find the search, and it won't let me search the way I want to.

This is a VERY important announcement, so please read!

The AO Forum and Facebook group will take a restful Holiday Break beginning on Friday, Dec 18. We'll re-open the forum again on Charlotte Mason's birthday, Friday, January 1, and re-open our Facebook chat group on Epiphany, January 7. Thus, the forum will be closed to posting for two weeks, and the Facebook group will be closed for a three week period.

Why are we taking this break? The CM method is about more than homeschooling; it's about life and relationships. We would like our AmblesideOnline family of members, moderators, Auxiliary and Advisory to step back from lessons and computers, and take time to savor the holidays with their loved ones.

Should you need AO information during the break, existing threads will remain available at the forum, and of course the AmblesideOnline website will remain up and running.

We encourage you all to explore AO's special Holiday pages during the break!
