Would it be possible to add an image to each page of the site (I realize this would be a big undertaking!), so one could pin to pinterest the links? Pinterest requires an image, so I can't pin certain pages that I'd like to have in my board for school year planning.

Now that the Forum is up and running, we're looking at other ways to help our users. AO's interactive Facebook group is now reopening for our users and friends who prefer to communicate that way. Please remember that FB's privacy cannot be guaranteed, and that the search facility is limited. The AO Forum will continue to be the main online face of AO.

I am subscribed to a number of subforums here, but I use the Tapatalk app to check for new threads, and I'd prefer not to receive emails whenever a new thread is posted. Is there a way to turn off email notification WITHOUT unsubscribing from the subforums? It's a handy way for me to view the forums of greatest interest to me via the Tapatalk app, so I'd prefer not to unsubscribe from them if I don't have to. I feel like I must be missing something obvious...

Is there a way to read a thread from the last post read, sort of thing. I'm scrolling down through the entire thread to find the the last post I read and I'm sure there has to be an easier, more efficient way. I just can't find it

I hope one of you wonderful techy ladies can help me, because the thought of being without the access to this forum is terrifying to me.

Since about April 29th (that's when my last read post was, before I got in again) I could not get to the forum. Not on my computer at home, not on my tablet and not on my computer at work. I've tried from my favorites, tried from Ableside Online main page, from google, from different blogs that linked to the forum site, none worked. This is the msg. I was getting:

MyBB has experienced an internal SQL error and cannot continue.
SQL Error:

Query:

this last part "MyBB Group" is a link that takes you to, I guess, forum hosting site, but no help there at all.

Yesterday, I went to Chrome on my work computer to do something else, and decided to try the forum then.... It worked, I was on.
Still would not work on IE on the same computer. Then I've tried at home - worked on chrome on my computer at home, not on IE. Tried the android tablet, got the same msg. when using my tablet browser, but then I've installed Chrome app and it worked.
That's when I was able to figure out how long I was without - terrifying experience. I was happy, until today when I tried at work again on chrome - the same msg. appeared. I can't figure out why, what am I doing wrong. I was able to go to chrome settings, reset them to default, even though I never changed them in the first place, just trying to do something, and then went back to the page with the mgs. and refreshed - it worked again. So, here I am, asking for help and afraid I won't be able to get to this site again... what then? If you can reply here and on main yahoo group (just in case I am cut off again and can't fix it) I'll be sleeping at night again. Thank you for all your help in advance.

I have some photos I'd like to put in a post. When I try the "insert image" button, it asks for a URL. I do have a Shutterfly account, but when I tried to practice with one of my photos there, it didn't work. How do I do this? Thanks!

I can see all the ebooks available on amazon.com, but I can only find a few of the AO poetry ebooks on amazon.co.uk . I'm not able to buy the ebooks through amazon.com. I'm looking to buy the whole year 2 poetry collection, but only term 2 is available on the uk website.

I cannot seem to download the updated EXcel file where I can sort the booklist. Has anyone else had the same issue? Is there somewhere else to get it? I am hoping to sort it by 'grade'. Thank you!

In the past you could link to Saints and Heroes Vol. 1 from Yr 7, and Saints and Heroes Vol. 2 from Yr 8. Now every link in Yr 7-9 takes you to Vol 1. It's not that big of a deal to me, since I can just access the Vol. 2 sequel from the Baldwin site, but a newcomer who doesn't know that there are 2 volumes will end up missing half of the church history options.

Just wanted to bring that to your attention!

The forum avatars didn't make it through the recent update. I just went back and replaced them from my old backup, but if you had uploaded an avatar more recently... sorry! It might be gone. Although, if you're patient with us, we might still find them.

That's just so you know. There was a problem with the avatars. There still is with newer ones. But we're working on it.

It says I need a prefix and won't let me post. I'm not sure what that means? I know we need a prefix in the forsale forums, but I didn't think in Year 0, and if we do, how do we do a prefix there?

HI, sorry for being silly but how do I add something at the bottom of my posts please (is it a signature?)? For example with my kids ages so I don't have to include them every time I make a post related to the ages of my children. Does that make sense? Thanks.

We're in the process of improving the AO website to make it easier to use the AO curriculum. Thank you for your patience. Bookmark and check this thread for updates.

The improvements haven't started yet, but will be happening soon. The curriculum and content will not be changing -- we're not adding any books or anything like that. We merely hope to make all the stuff we have easier to find.

Why can I not find this? I cannot find where to set the option to subscribe (or not) by default to any thread to which I reply. Or the option to default to email or no email for subscriptions. I thought it was in Options under User CP, but I can't find it there.

Several of the resource links in the handicraft section are broken -- they have "..." in the middle. I'm not sure this is the right place to post that, if not, let me know.

I wasn't getting any answers in the "Music" forum so I thought I would post here...

I've enjoyed the direct links to Hymntime.com but in the past few months I cannot get the site to work properly. All looks normal but there's no sound. I've tried accessing the site on my desktop computer and iPad. All other music/video sounds are working on other sites but just not with the Hymntime.com site.

Anyone else having the same difficulty?
