How to Homeschool with AO

AmblesideOnline is a free homeschool curriculum that uses Charlotte Mason's classically-based principles to prepare children for a life of rich relationships with everything around them: God, humanity, and the natural world. The AO website has our booklists, free book links, schedules, and additional resources.

How do you do AO?

First, Read our FAQ. It explains who we are, how we do history, what narration is -- almost everything you want to know. http://www.amblesideonline.org/faq

Then, click on the Year your child will need -- that's where you'll find which books you'll need, what subjects you should cover, and which resources can be accessed for free. https://www.amblesideonline.org/public_html/curriculum.php

(On the Advisory blog we have a post which explains in more detail how to use the website and highlights some key points people often miss: http://archipelago7.blogspot.com/2015/08/how-to-use-website-and-booklists.html

Keep in mind: we offer support on our forum and social media groups, but please remember that, while you can get encouragement and tips on our groups, the AO website should be your first resource for information.
